Ringing of the bell at Nasdaq Iceland Monday morning marks the opening of markets and Global Money Week in Iceland.

Primary and Secondary Schools around the country participate in the week with special projects focusing on Money and Financial Literacy.

The Central Bank’s Numismatic Museum will focus on coins bearing images of young heads of state. Children and teenagers are encouraged to sketch and submit their ideas for coins.
